I am a big old fat geek that recently got into doing...(GASP!)...exercising.

I have many MP3 capable products and reasons why I am very fond of this little one for my new found effort. I have the following list of products and have tried my:

Nexus S (too big and heavy for running, no physical buttons)
iPod touch 4th Gen (Big, expensive at the storage size i wanted and no buttons for music controls)
iPod Nano 4thGen (little, has a clip, but why the hell can't they include buttons?)
iPod shuffle (not enough storage and I don't want to mix in my metal songs from lifting weights into my up beat running songs...)

Likes:
The clip Zip sounds great, is very small, has a clip and has physical buttons.

It fits every need i want. The bonus is the MicroSD slot, I can not stress this enough. Skip the 8GB version and get the 4GB and pair it with a 16 or 32GB card. Bam 20-36GB of storage, insanely small and still clocks in under $100.

FLAC support.

Low rez color screen does what it needs to. Won't knock people over but tells you whats playing with album art.

As for the other areas, the stop watch works like a stop watch...It keeps time and does splits. Not a huge thing and if you are using a polar watch or at a gym, the machine you are on will do just as well and be more convenient. In a pinch it works.

The FM radio works fine. I live in a rural area, so my station choices are limited. From my experience, it works just fine if you are in an area with good recption.

Dislikes:
*UPDATE* MM works on updated firmware...still broken on stock firmware. Drag and drop also works, so you have that going for you.

General gripe: The included headphones are perfect for giving to people you hate. You can use them, i guess, if you want to torture yourself, but like any MP3 player, Apple or otherwise, get some better phones...your ears and your music will appreciate it.

Considering you would need to pay twice as much for an iPod with fewer features, no physical buttons and no storage expansion, just to run in a hampster wheel, save your scratch and get this guy. You will be glad you did, as it looks good, sounds good and does a it in a small package that just screams to be used in your fitness routine.

Update of an update: A new firmware patch was released, make sure to update your new Clip Zip or you will experience the "Static Blast" between some of your songs...not fun, but it has been addressed, so make sure to update right away.

I have a Zune HD and I'm shocked by the horribly overpriced docks. I am happy to report that this dock works perfectly with the Zune HD. I use it for charging and sync'ing my Zune HD. Note this is the same as the Zune AV Pack with two differences: this does not come with the remote control nor the special composite video and audio cable. This dock also *does* work with the remote control and you can get any old component cables. Naturally it does not have HDMI but it does have component video output so if you use your Zune HD for HDTV, and I don't think anyone does, then you're not going to want this.

Now that the Zune HD is out I'm getting these older Zune docs for pennies on the dollar so I can have a dock at all the places I use my Zune HD.

Note that the Zune HD does wiggle a bit, but you can remedy that by not caring, or putting some felt pads on the dock adapter insert.

The AC adapter is a block with a folding plug and a USB jack. It works with nearly any USB-charged device, including LG cell phones, so this purchase is a real *steal* just to get the excellent AC adapter.

I'm on about my third case in a about 5 years I guess. I agree that it's a little tough to use if you have some kind of stand for your ipod. But it's the one case that I've found that has a great clip. I don't have to worry about loosing my Ipod whenever I ride my mountain bike. The clip also is handy for securing the ipod when it's attached to my car stereo, which is really it's home. The Ipod controls are a little hard to use through the plastic case but that's hardly an issue because I can control the ipod through the car stereo so it's a non-issue. And for when I use it riding, the controls are responsive enough so that I can skip a song or repeat it while I'm riding. Don't usually scroll through playlists while I'm riding anyway.

What job? To get rid of those awful and poor sound Apple factory headphones and to control either your iPod shuffle (latest version) or the iPod touch.

I just used them on a 5 hour flight, they were great since I could use my noise cancelling headphones.

The adapter looks well made, nice color (black), but the only thing that I did not rate it 5 stars is because you may get confused when turning up or down the volume with the center click, so you may get "pausing" your music instead of changing the volume. An another thing, since they're black, you will have a little of a hard time guessing if you're going to push the up or down volume button.

But I love this adapter for sure.
