It comes as a single piece of iPod-shaped plastic with a slit across the bottom where you slide in your iPod. The only openings are at the top, which line up with the hold switch and the headphone jack. It fits the shape of the iPod perfectly and hardly looks like anything is there.

However, a fairly annoying issue is that the click wheel is also covered, which makes it difficult to use. It's hard to smoothly slide your finger around the plastic, and you often have to press harder for the iPod to register the contact.

Cons:
- When the plastic contacts the screen, bubbles form (the only way to remove them is to slide the iPod at least halfway out of the skin and back in -- the instructions say this problem should go away with use)

- Plastic over the click wheel has raised markings to match "Menu" and the other three symbols. They line up decently, but there is still a "blurry" look when the plastic overlays the actual symbols on the iPod
